Even if I wasn’t in the relationship I am in now, I would still be just as happy. My relationship adds to my happiness, yes, but I have other things in my life as well.
I have my family. And my friends. And dance.
Pete is a really HUGE part of my happiness, but he isn’t my sole happiness. Stop being rude. If you are looking to bringing me down and my relationship it isn’t working. Take your negative comments to someone else.

Please text me and lets talk about this. I’m not going to sit here and defend how much I love Pete and how I want our relationship to work out in the end. Yes, I realize that relationships fail out of nowhere but I’d like to think that what I have right now is love. And it is, to me. And to Pete. And for us, that’s all that matters.
Today is Valentines day and I could not be anymore thankful.
Jacob Peter Shankland is one of the most perfect human beings ever. I woke up this morning, waltzed into my bathroom like every other morning, and sitting on the mantle was a box of Cheez-Itz, an assortment of chocolates, and the cutest card that was personalized. I sat on the toilet literally crying of happiness. It was the perfect start to my morning and it made me realize how in love I really am. I am the luckiest woman in the world.
I love the way you laugh when something is really funny, it’s almost a high pitched laugh like a woman. I love the way your nose wiggles whenever my hair tickles it. I love the way you smell all of the time. I love the way you pretend to kiss me in very awkward ways, whether it’s blowing in my mouth or giving me a raspberries somehow. I love the way you make me speak, which is when you make me “RUFF” really loud whenever I’m sad. I love whenever you touch my nose you make me meep, and whenever I do not you tell me that my meeper is broken. I love that your theme song to me is Relient K. I love that both of our favorite bands are Brand New. I love your nose. I love your hair. I love everything about you. You’re handsome and sweet and perfect and mine.
